Female-founded Terra & Co introduced a clean, sustainable line of oral care with products like Brilliant Black Dental Floss and Gentle Green Oil Pulling. Founder Amra shared that she created the idea for Terra & Co while pregnant and searching for a gentle teeth whitening product. The activated charcoal you will find in many of the products gently whitens teeth.

Oil pulling is an Ayurvedic practice that pulls bacteria and food out of the fatty tissues in your mouth. Think of it as a substitute for mouthwash. Mouthwash wipes the good and bad bacteria out of our mouths which can have a negative affect on our microbiome. Oil pulling nurtures the good bacteria to promote a healthy microbiome and ultimately a strong immune system too. 

Terra & Co has two oil pulling products. The Brilliant Black Oil Pulling and the Gentle Green Oil Pulling. The Brilliant Black was created in 2018 and is meant to gently whiten and improve the health of your gums with activated charcoal, peppermint and coconut oil. It has also been known to clear acne around the mouth. 

The Gentle Green Oil Pulling is Terra & Co’s most popular oil as it has a lighter texture, nHAp mineral, matcha and hemp oil to strengthen tooth enamel and repair sensitive teeth. 

If you are new to oil pulling, start with a single minute and work your way up to five minutes.  You can think of your oil pulling as a supplement and can do it before or after brushing your teeth. This practice has also been known to strengthen muscles around your mouth and clear your sinuses.
